HR Generalist

About This Role

As our HR Generalist, you'll be the foundation of LiPol Battery North America's people operations — managing recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration for our growing remote team. This is a high-impact generalist role ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a startup-like environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer letters
• Develop and maintain onboarding and offboarding processes for remote team members
• Administer HR policies, employee handbook, and compliance documentation
• Oversee payroll coordination with external payroll providers
• Handle employee relations issues with discretion, professionalism, and empathy
• Maintain HR records and HRIS data with accuracy and confidentiality
• Monitor federal, state, and provincial HR compliance across multiple North American jurisdictions
• Support performance review cycles and goal-setting processes
• Help build company culture and engagement for a distributed team

Requirements

• 3+ years of HR generalist experience
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws (US and/or Canada)
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with HR information systems and Google Workspace
• High level of discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive information

Nice to Have

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification
• Experience in manufacturing, technology, or import/export industries
• Familiarity with multi-state or cross-border payroll and compliance
• Experience building HR infrastructure from the ground up
