Accounting Specialist

About This Role

LiPol Battery North America is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to manage day-to-day accounting operations for our North American subsidiary. You'll oversee accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ensure compliance with North American accounting standards while coordinating with our parent company's finance team in China.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reconciliations
• Prepare accurate financial statements and management reports
• Coordinate with external accountants for tax filings and annual audits
• Process and review vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports
• Manage multi-currency transactions (USD, CAD) and international wire transfers
• Maintain accurate records in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Coordinate financial reporting with parent company in Shenzhen
• Monitor cash flow and flag financial risks to leadership

Requirements

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or NetSuite)
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
• High attention to detail and accuracy with financial data
• Experience with multi-currency or international transactions

Nice to Have

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA
• Experience in import/export or manufacturing industry accounting
• Familiarity with international transfer pricing concepts
• Experience with Chinese accounting practices or cross-border transactions
